Privacy Notice

Keelbase is used to manage boat maintenance, crew work, component records, service history, tasks and shopping requests. For privacy questions, contact the boat administrator through the crew channel or the contact details already shared with the team.

• Account details such as email address and password.
• Profile details such as full name and, if provided, date of birth.
• Role and access data, including whether an account is crew or admin and which boat it belongs to.
• Maintenance data entered into the app, including components, tasks, service history, assignees, due dates, notes and shopping requests.
• Technical data needed to run the service, such as session cookies and server logs created by the hosting provider.

• To create and manage user accounts.
• To control access to boat-specific workspaces.
• To show assigned tasks, service records, component status and related maintenance information to the right crew members.
• To keep the app secure and prevent unauthorized access.
• To troubleshoot and maintain the service.

The app processes data to provide the requested maintenance workspace and account features. Some processing may also be necessary for legitimate interests, such as keeping the service secure, maintaining accurate boat records and resolving technical issues.

Keelbase uses an essential authentication cookie to keep users signed in and protect account-only pages. This cookie is required for the app to work. The app does not currently use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.

Account and app data is stored in Supabase. The web app is hosted on Netlify. These providers may process data on servers outside the user's country. Their infrastructure and security measures are used to provide the app.

Boat admins can view and manage boat workspace data. Crew members can view and edit the parts of the workspace they are allowed to access. Service providers such as Supabase and Netlify process data only as needed to host, secure and operate the app.

Account, maintenance and service records are kept while they are needed for boat operations, safety, maintenance history or account management. A boat admin can remove or update data when it is no longer needed.

You can ask the boat administrator for access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion where appropriate, or restriction of processing. You can also ask questions about how your account and maintenance data is used.

This notice may be updated when Keelbase changes how it handles data, adds new service providers or introduces optional analytics or tracking features.
